19-year-old injured in north Columbia shooting, police search for suspects

One person is injured during a shooting on Columbia’s north side.

Police were called to the 3300 block of Premier Lane, just before 5 p.m. last night, to investigate a report of shots fired.  When officers arrived, they found a large crowd of people surrounding a 19-year-old gunshot victim.  The victim was taken to a local hospital.  There’s no word on the extent of his injuries or his current condition.

While on the scene, officers found shell casings and damage to several homes.

Witnesses told police the shooters were two black males, both with their hair styled in short twists.  They were last seen fleeing the scene on foot.
