A Columbia man wanted for a weekend murder is taken into custody

A Columbia man wanted for a weekend murder is now in the Boone County jail.

Isaac Bryant, 35, was listed as an inmate in the jail Thursday morning.  He’s charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action for a shooting that happened on Grand Avenue.

Police were called to Grand early Sunday morning to investigate a report of shots fired.  When they arrived, they found 37-year-old Demetrius Ware of Columbia with a gunshot wound.  He was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
