Auxvasse man sentenced for Fulton convenience store shooting

Markus Berry

A Callaway County man pleads guilty and is sentenced for a convenience store shooting in Fulton.

Markus Berry, 38, of Auxvasse, pleaded down to charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance earlier today, and was sentenced to ten years of prison on each charge.

It was in December of 2019 when Berry was involved in the shooting.  Deputies spotted him the following day in his hometown and tried to arrest him, but he sped away.  After wrecking his car, he took off on foot.  He was captured after the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s air unit spotted him using night vision technology.
