Boone Co man indicted for fatal pedestrian incident

Charles Waddill

A Boone County man is indicted by a grand jury for hitting and killing a pedestrian.

Charles Waddill, 50, of Harrisburg, was indicted last Friday for involuntary manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while intoxicated resulting in death, and tampering with physical evidence.

It was June 29th when Waddill hit Timothy Wilson, 51, of Columbia as Wilson was attempting to cross Range Line Street just north of the Business Loop.  After Waddill hit Wilson, he allegedly fled the scene.

Waddill was arrested after officers found a vehicle matching a description from the incident at Waddill's house with damage consistent with hitting a pedestrian.
