One businessman not planning a shutdown of his business…is Cole County presiding commissioner Sam Bushman. Bushman’s been in the clothing and tuxedo rental business for 45 years…and he says he’s survived tough times before. He says he remains confident he can stay in business through the epidemic.
Bushman says they're open for business. He says you can't run out to curb to do a tuxedo measurement. He says weddings and proms are being postponed, but he's betting many will be rescheduled.
Bushman says as a county official, he is taking the Covid-19 pandemic seriously, and endorses the actions of the county helath department. He says he does worry about employees of the downtown restaurants and bars that will miss out on salary and most likely…tips.
