Almost two months after the Missouri River overran the Jefferson City Memorial Airport…it’s still not operating at full speed. City operations manager Britt Smith says he’d like to get the airport’s tower back up and running. He says until the control tower is back on the air, things won’t be as safe as they can be.
Smith says the tower could be back up and running in less than a month. Up next for repair will be the runway lights and the instrument landing functions.
