A Columbia man, arrested one year ago for having marijuana mailed to his house, is sentenced.
Sean Boyd, 23, was sentenced Monday to five years supervised probation on a controlled-substance delivery charge. The prosecution also decided Monday to no longer pursue a weapons charge.
It was in March of 2019 when Boyd was arrested after the postal service tipped off local law enforcement that suspicious packages were being sent to Boyd’s address.
During a search of Boyd’s home, officers found a quarter-pound of marijuana he’d received from California, along with a handgun, and $5,000 in cash.
