Rodney Klobnak

A Columbia man accused of sexually assaulting a minor pleads down to lesser charges and is sentenced.

Rodney Klobnak, 64, pleaded guilty last Friday to one count of first-degree child molestation and one count of third-degree child molestation.  He was sentenced to a total of eight years.  The court also ordered Klobnak to be under lifetime supervision.

Klobnak was arrested in the Spring of 2017 and originally charged with three counts of statutory sodomy.  The victim, who was younger than 12, told authorities Klobnak’s abuse dated back to 2009.
