A Columbia man is headed to prison after pleading guilty to a drug-related shooting.
Johnny Hurd, 20, pleaded down to assault and robbery Monday and was sentenced to a total of 17 years in prison.
It was in the Fall of 2017 when Hurd and two juvenile accomplices went to the 15-year-old victim's house to buy marijuana.
The victim says after the exchange, Hurd pulled a gun and shot him in the chest.
The boy suffered life-threatening injuries but later recovered.
