Cooper Co drug bust nets 34 pounds of marijuana

A California-state woman is facing charges after a Missouri State Highway Patrolman finds more than 30 pounds of marijuana in her car in Cooper County.

The Boonville Daily News reports Leslie Rivera, 28, of Bakersfield, California, was stopped for speeding last night while driving along I-70.

The Daily News reports a K-9 detected drugs in the car, leading to a search that uncovered 34 pounds of marijuana.
