Economic hardship forces a Cooper County hospital to shutter its doors.
Pinnacle Regional Hospital in Boonville announced earlier today that the hospital with close tonight at 7 p.m. However, some staff will remain at the hospital for two weeks to help with any walk-in patients.
Pinnacle bought the hospital in the Fall of 2018, promising to maintain services that were already offered. However, Pinnacle says after discussions with The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, it's determined that the economic hardship of bringing the facility into compliance is too great.
