The State Health Department issues a COVID-19 advisory to three new mid-Missouri counties.
On Wednesday, the Department said rising cases in Macon, Randolph and Adair counties are putting the area of risk of becoming a COVID hotspot. The Department says disease spread from southwest and central Missouri is expected to move northeast along Highway 63.
The vaccination rate in Adair County is around 33%, but it’s under 30% in Macon and Randolph Counties. COVID cases in Randolph County have doubled over the past two weeks, with 75 cases being reported. 69 cases were reported in Adair County and 39 cases were reported in Macon County.
