The search for a Boone County woman missing for almost two months continues today along a Cooper County river.

Mengqi Ji Elledge was reported missing by her husband, Joseph, October 10th.  Since that time, he's been charged with two counts of abuse against their young daughter and remains jailed.  He was previously named as the prime suspect in his wife's disappearance.

Numerous Mid-Missouri agencies have been collaborating since last week on a section of the Lamine River just below the Highway-41 bridge near Boonville.  Previous efforts have concentrated on clearing flood debris from under the bridge with divers periodically taking to the water to search.

A Columbia Police Department spokesperson told the Columbia Tribune, the dives have been challenging with low visibility.
