More charges are now filed in the murder of a Jefferson City man.
It was about a week ago when a Cole County Jail inmate told deputies he helped Sandy Gallaspie, 59, hide the body of Jon Williams. The inmate led deputies to an area just east of Jefferson City where human remains were found. The body has yet to be positively identified.
Both Gallaspie and Williams' ex-wife, Suzanne Ponder, 47, are now charged with abandonment of a corpse. Ponder was also charged yesterday in Moniteau County with conspiracy to first-degree murder.
When Gallaspie was taken into custody Saturday, he told authorities he shot Williams in the chest, then buried his body in the Fall of 2015.
Ponder and Williams were divorced about a year before Williams was murdered.
