A St. Louis woman is taking a personal approach to convince lawmakers they need to do more in the fight against the pandemic.
KOLR reports Angela Kender is gathering a photo collection of those who have died in Missouri of COVID-19. She then plans to take the collection to the state capitol to encourage lawmakers to consider mandates, instead of relinquishing them to local governments.
The inspiration for the project was Kender’s 71-year-old mother who died June 6 at a nursing home in the St. Louis area.
Kender hopes to take the memorial to Jefferson City within the next two weeks. If you have victim photos you’d like to share with her, you can send them to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
