A federal appeals court panel blocks Missouri from enforcing a 2019 state abortion law that bans the procedures at or after eight weeks of pregnancy.

The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals handed down the ruling earlier today.

Missouri’s Republican Attorney General Eric Schmitt says he plans to appeal to the Supreme Court.
