The Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster recovery center in Jefferson City will close next week.
The Cole County FEMA disaster recovery center at 1736 Southridge Drive will cease operations Aug. 20.
The center is open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
After the center closes, disaster victims can still get ahold of FEMA by visiting DisasteAsssistance.gov on the internet. Businesses can get ahold of the Small Business Administration by visiting SBA-dot-gov-forward-slash disaster.
FEMA has approved 1,177 households and provided about $5.6 million in grants statewide for temporary rental assistance, basic home repairs and other needs not covered by insurance, FEMA spokesman John Mills said.
FEMA approved 130 Cole County households and distributed $586,000 within the county, Mills said.
