Five DWI arrests made after Mardi Gras Pub Crawl at the Lake of the Ozarks

Five people are arrested for DWI after the Mardi Gras Pub Crawl at the Lake of the Ozarks over the weekend.  Over a dozen bars and restaurants took part in the three-day event.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports it conducted a DWI saturation that resulted in 57 traffic stops.  Five people were arrested for DWI and three warrant arrests were made.  21 citations and 59 warnings were also issued.

The pub crawl used to be a one-day event, but the Chamber of Commerce decided to spread it out over three days due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Shuttles between the bars were not available this year.  No extra protocols were put in place.  The Lake of the Ozarks drew national media attention last year after large Memorial Day weekend parties – with no social distancing -- were caught on video.
