Flags at half staff to honor fallen firefighter

Charles McCormick with his wife and three sons

Governor Mike Parson orders all flags flown at fire houses across the state be flown at half staff in honor of a fallen firefighter.

It was yesterday when Parson made the order honoring Firefighter-Paramedic Charles McCormick.  McCormick died while fighting a house fire just south of Kansas City last Sunday.

Flags will fly at half staff tomorrow, the day of McCormick's funeral.

McCormick, a former member of the Missouri National Guard, is survived by his wife and three young children.
