Former Missouri S & T employee now facing federal child pornography charge

Neil Outar

More information comes to light as to why child pornography charges were dropped against a former employee of Missouri S & T.

It was last week when seven counts of possession of child pornography were dropped against Neil Outar, 43.  Phelps County prosecutor Brendon Fox says the state charges were dropped so Outar could be federally indicted.

The allegations against Outar surfaced last year.  As soon as the charges were filed against him, Missouri S & T fired him from his job as the university’s chief diversity officer.

Police were tipped off to Outar’s alleged activity after an internet service provider reported suspected material had been uploaded and saved to his account.
