Four men are arrested for two separate shootings last week in Columbia.

Larry Brownlee and Daravion Fajardo, both 25 years olds from Columbia, are charged with resisting arrest.

It was early Friday morning when police heard gunshots near Highland Drive.  Officers then spotted a car driving away at a high rate of speed.  According to police, Brownlee and Fajardo ditched the car on Providence Road and took off on foot.  They were caught a short time later.

The second round of shots were reported about three hours later on Garth Avenue when police were called to investigate a burglary in progress.  Two men have been arrested for their involvement with that incident; Julian Shumpert, 18, and Derail Thomas, 28, both of Columbia.  They've been charged with assault, burglary, and armed criminal action.  Shumpert is also charged with drug possession.
