Franklin Couunty man arrested after threatning deputies with a knife from rooftop

A Franklin County man faces charges after he allegedly climbed onto the roof of a home, knife in hand, and threatened deputies.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a home in the 1600 block of North Service Road in St. Clair, last Monday, and saw a man walking near the home with a knife in his hand.  Deputies say the man, identified as Joshua Presley, 35, of St. Clair, climbed a ladder and got on the roof of the house.  Presley allegedly waved the knife around and threatened deputies, refusing to come down.  After about 20 minutes, Presley started climbing down and was taken into custody.

Presley is charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and property damage.
