Governor Mike Parson grants 15 pardons and commutes two sentences on Friday.
The governor’s office says the names of those prisoners involved won’t be released until families are notified.
The governor has instructed his legal team to continue reviewing clemency files to reduce the backlog inherited by his administration. At last report, there were approximately 3,300 pending clemency applications.
It was just in December when Parson granted 24 pardons and commuted four sentences.
