The section of Highway-54 closed by a rock slide last weekend in Osage Beach has re-opened a little earlier than anticipated.
The Mo-DOT Central Missouri District announced yesterday afternoon that all eastbound lanes of Highway-54 had re-opened to traffic. The ramp to southbound Case Road has re-opened as well.
It was Sunday night when a portion of the rock bluff fell onto the highway causing at least two car accidents with minor injuries.
Although geologists have yet to release a definitive cause for the slide, they previously stated water and extreme weather changes, may have played a part.
