Ready…set…go! Be on the lookout for young drivers in these early days of school. Usually between three and four oh clock in the afternoon…teens in cars and trucks are making a bee-line out of the school parking lot on their way to where ever it is they’re going. Captain John Hotz with the Highway Patrol says streets and highways around schools can get dangerous.

Hotz says to remember, many teens won’t be thinking about you after a hard day at school. He also says teens text and drive too much…and don’t buckle up as much as they should…10 to 12 percent less than adults.
