JC man gets 10 years for fatal DWI

Donald Kemper

A Jefferson City man who pleaded guilty to causing a fatal drunk driving accident last summer is sentenced.

Donald Kemper, 25, pled guilty in May and was sentenced Monday to 10 years in prison.  He was also ordered to undergo 120 days of a drug treatment program while serving his time.

It was June 23, 2018 when Kemper lost control of his truck while driving in Morgan County, striking a tree.  His lone passenger, James Dinkins, 26, Versailles, died as a result of the crash.
