JCPD identify suspect in Break Time shooting

Xavies Parks

Jefferson City Police have identified a suspect in a convenience store shooting that happened early yesterday morning.

Police are looking for Xavies Parks, 25, of Jefferson City.  They say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

It was around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning when police were called to the Break Time on Ellis Boulevard for a disturbance with gunshots.  When they arrived, they found a man in his early 20s suffering from gunshot wounds.  He was taken to a Columbia hospital for treatment.  There’s no word on the extent of his injuries.  Police have said they believe the victim was targeted by Parks, and this was not a random shooting.

If you have information about Parks’ whereabouts, you’re asked to call the JCPD or CrimeStoppers at 573-659-TIPS.
