Jefferson City cited for DWI following accident with serious injuries

A Jefferson City man suffers serious injuries when he wrecks his SUV just south of town.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Casey Bax, 24, was driving on Route W, near Wardsville, early Monday morning, when he lost control in a curve.  Bax’s SUV traveled off the side of the road, then overturned.  Bax, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was ejected.

He was taken to University Hospital for treatment.

Bax was cited for driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of a firearm, failure to drive on the right half of the road, and no seat belt.
