Jefferson City man arrested for road rage incident that led to stabbing

A man is stabbed in the chest following a road rage incident in north Jefferson City.

Police report the quarrel started near the intersection of Dix Road and W. Main on Tuesday night, around 7:30.  The suspect then followed the victim to a location on Vista Road where he stabbed the victim in the chest.  The 24-year-old victim was transported to a Columbia hospital where he’s listed in stable condition.

Witnesses at the scene of the stabbing were able to provide police with information that led to the suspect’s arrest shortly after the incident.  The 28-year-old suspect, a resident of Jefferson City, is awaiting charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
