A Jefferson City man is now charged with a road rage incident that ended with a stabbing.
28-year-old Riley Elgin is charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Court records state he’s being held with no bond because he’s been deemed a danger to the community.
The incident occurred Tuesday night when both drivers stopped on Vista Road. The victim says Elgin confronted him, then stabbed him in the chest. He’s listed in stable condition.
Court records state police arrested Elgin after finding him in his garage covered in blood. He told officers he was involved in a road rage incident but didn’t remember the stabbing.
