All Missourians will become eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine tomorrow and Cole County leaders are urging people to sign up for an appointment. Jefferson City Mayor Carrie Tergin says she’s already received her first shot and the process was easy. And starting tomorrow, anyone can do it.
“There are no barriers, everybody who would like to will be able to get their vaccine. So again, encouraging everyone to take the example, follow the lead of the mayor, and also listen to all our trusted physicians here in our community.”
Presiding Commissioner Sam Bushman said it was important to get vaccinated before any kind of travel.
Tomorrow, the Cole County Health Department be at the Linc to give second dose shots to those who attended the event there on March 19.
The centralized vaccination location at the Capital Mall opens Monday. You still have to schedule an appointment to go there, but officials say they hope to accept walk-ins soon.
