A man recently released from prison is back in custody after a chase in Fulton.
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office says deputies received reports of a vehicle being stolen from a gas station Monday evening. When deputies spotted the vehicle on State Road F, the driver, a 32-year old man fled.
Deputies chased the man through several city streets until the vehicle suffered a mechanical problem on Ravine Street. As deputies tried to remove the driver, the vehicle came out of gear, rolled backward, and pinned the deputy against a patrol vehicle.
The deputy wasn’t injured, and the suspect was taken into custody.
The man was previously released from prison on December 14.
