Mid-Missouri schools, goverrnment office buildings close due to COVID-19

The St. Elizabeth R-4 school district cancels classes due to a rise in COVID-19 cases among students and staff.  The district made the announcement Thursday that classes would be canceled today.  School officials say there is also a large number of students and staff experiencing flu-like symptoms.

The South Callaway R-2 school district in Mokane also canceled classes today.

The Boonville School District is giving students Tuesday, January 18, the day after Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, off.  School officials say they will use a snow day to clean and sanitize the building.

And all Camden County government offices, except for the Sheriff’s Office and jail, will be closed until Wednesday, January  19.
