Missouri D.O.C. battles Covid outbreaks

The Department of Corrections is battling Covid-19 outbreaks at several of its facilities.

According to the most recent statistics, the DOC reports 85 active cases at the Algoa Correctional Center and 33 active cases at the Jefferson City Correctional Center among offenders.

110 Inmates at Moberly Correctional Center have the virus now. The outbreak is the worst at the Farmington Correctional Center south of St. Louis where 300 offenders have active cases of the virus.

The women’s prison at Vandalia now reports 113 active cases of the virus. The D.O.C. reports two offender deaths due to Covid since the start of the pandemic, and one staff death.
