MSHP completes investigation into fatal police shooting of Sedalia woman

Hannah Fizer

The Missouri State Highway Patrol completes its investigation into a fatal police shooting in Sedalia.

Hannah Fizer, 25, was stopped while driving to work on June 13.  The officer says Fizer refused to stop, and when she did, she became belligerent and threatened him with a gun.  A search of her car by officers found no gun.

The findings from the patrol’s investigation have been forwarded to the Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.  It’s unclear how long the prosecutor’s office will take to reach a decision as to whether to file charges against the officer.

Per standard procedure, the officer is on paid administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation.
