The University of Missouri-Columbia amends its new mask policy, just two days after it was announced.
Chancellor Mun Choi released a statement on Thursday, saying the university no longer expects those on campus to wear face coverings when alone outside. However, the remainder of the new mask requirements will remain in place.
The university says the modification to the policy was prompted by discussions with experts.
Those who refuse to follow the latest guidelines face suspension or disciplinary action.
