New coalition formed to slow the spread of COVID-19

Several statewide organizations are joining forces to slow the spread of COVID-19.  The Coalition for Healthy Missouri Communities is a new initiative made up of members of the Missouri Hospital Association, the Missouri Farm Bureau, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and many other organizations.

In a statement, Missouri Hospital Association president Herb Kuhn says ICUs are bursting at the seams, which endangers not only those with COVID, but any Missourian who needs medical care.  So these organizations have agreed to work together to slow the spread and take the pressure off hospitals.

This group is focusing on increasing protection and is reminding everyone to wear a mask, maintain social distancing and engage in proper handwashing.
