One man dies, two seriously injured, by passing motorist in Camden Co

A Good Samaritan dies when he's hit by a pick up last night in Camden County.

Phillip Johnston, 67, of Climax Springs, had pulled over on Highway-Z just before 10 p.m. to help a stranded motorist.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Johnston was struck by a passing pickup driven by a fellow Climax Springs man.  Johnston was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two additional men suffered serious injuries; both the man who originally stopped for car troubles, Gerald Beck, 49, of Climax Springs, and a second Good Samaritan who stopped to help, Sean Johnston, 43, of Climax Springs.  Both men were taken to Lake Regional Hospital.  There's no word on their current conditions.
