One person seriously injured, another arrested, after early morning crash in Columbia

One man is arrested after crashing into a vehicle and house in Columbia early this morning.

The Columbia Police Department says the crash happened at the intersection of North Providence Road and Rogers Street around 3:00 this morning.  Police say a driver, identified as Jesus Olguin, 23, of Columbia, collided with another vehicle, and continued driving until he hit a home in the 500 block of North Providence Road.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.  Olguin had minor injuries.  The home sustained minor damage.

Olguin was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
