Overnight warming shelters open across Columbia

The City of Columbia opens a temporary overnight warming shelter ahead of tonight’s frigid temperatures.

The center, at Wabash Bus Station, is open both Wednesday and Thursday night, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Truman Hospital is also initiating a Warm Haven program for sheltering veterans overnight in the emergency room lobby.  Shelter will be provided to veteran’s families as well.
