The condition of a Jefferson City business owner critically injured during an explosion has improved.
Christopher Russell, 39, suffered critical burns when the explosion occurred around 4:30 a.m. Thursday at Xtreme Body & Paint on Lomo Drive.
The Jefferson City News Tribune reports Russell had gone in the business' garage to get a snow plow when the explosion blew the garage door 90 feet.
The cause of the explosion remains under investigation, but initial reports indicate an underground gas leak.
Russell was taken to a Columbia hospital where he's now listed in serious condition.
