A Sedalia man who triggered a multi-state manhunt after escaping the Pettis County Jail is headed to prison.
Travis Davis, 30, pleaded down to one count of escaping from custody, Monday, and was sentenced to two years in prison. He'd been scheduled to go to trial later this month.
Davis' jail escape happened in March. He was arrested three days later in Oklahoma but escaped again. License plates from a stolen Oklahoma vehicle eventually led police to Davis who had returned to Missouri. He was captured hiding in a Sedalia garage.
Davis was originally housed at the Pettis County Jail on charges of kidnapping, child endangerment, and domestic assault.
