A Pettis County man is facing a murder charge for killing his wife in front of their children.

Michael Brown, 33, of Smithton, is facing seven charges, including first-degree murder and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to court documents, the murder happened last Wednesday at the couple’s house.  The two were allegedly arguing over Brown taking the children, when the argument became physical.  The argument ended when Brown allegedly ran over his wife with his truck.  The children told police they witnessed the whole encounter.

Brown then fled the scene, but eventually surrendered.   He’s currently being held without bond.
