Rolla teen seriously injured in crash near his hometown

A Rolla teen suffers serious injuries when he attempts to avoid an animal in the road.

Wyatt Bell, 18, was driving on a county road, just south of his hometown, on Saturday night when the crash occurred.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Bell was towing an ATV with his truck when he swerved to miss the animal, then traveled off the road, striking a mailbox.  Bell, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was ejected on impact.

Bell was flown to University Medical Center for treatment.
