A second man pleads guilty to his part in a Dallas County double homicide.
Jeffery Stevenson, 24, of Macks Creek, pleaded guilty late last week to two counts of second-degree murder and one count of stealing. He was sentenced to a total of 25 years in prison.
It was in September of 2018 when Stevenson and his accomplice, Billy Medley, were attempting to steal a vehicle from the home of Joe and Brandy Allen in Tunas. Investigators say the Allens were shot and killed after they caught the men in the act.
Stevenson was captured by deputies within days of the murder. But it took authorities a week to track down Medley who was hiding out in Oklahoma. Medley was sentenced to 48 years in prison last month.
