A second Columbia woman is sentenced for shoplifting thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from a Jefferson City sporting goods store.
Erneisha Dorema, 18, of Columbia, pleaded guilty to one count of stealing Tuesday and was sentenced to five years supervised probation along with 50 hours of community service.
It was March 31st when Dorema and four friends walked into Dicks Sporting Goods and walked out with $3,000 in clothing. When police spotted their getaway car on Missouri Boulevard, the driver sped off, heading back to Columbia. The chase ended just south of Ashland after the Missouri State Highway Patrol used spike strips to deflate the car’s tires.
One additional defendant, Tashianna Pitts, 29, previously pleaded guilty and was also sentenced to five years supervised probation.
The other three defendants still await court hearings.
