Seriously injured Camden County bartender dies from his injuries

Jeremiah "JT" Keating

A Camden County bartender seriously injured by an intoxicated driver has died from his injuries.

JT Keating, 65, of Roach, was a bartender at Bulldog’s Beach House Bar & Grill.  He was struck in the business’ parking lot Friday, September 3 by a UTV driver, Gerald Alvey, 78, of Camdenton.  Alvey then struck a van and a house.

Alvey was charged last week with driving while intoxicated resulting in serious physical injury. Following Keating’s death, he’ll more than likely face stiffer charges.

Keating’s death was announced Sunday morning by his former employer.
