Small earthquake in SE MO

A small earthquake is reported early this morning in Southeast Missouri.

The 2.6 magnitude quake was reported about 2am and was centered just north of Bonne Terre, which is about 60 miles southwest of St. Louis.

Although there were no reports of injuries or damage, some reported feeling the quake from as far away as Chicago and even one report in Columbia.

The website https://earthquaketrack.com/ reports there have been about 16 small earthquakes in Missouri over the past 30 days, all centered around the New Madrid Fault Line.
