Ptah Watson

A St. Louis man is in the Cole County Jail after leading Jefferson City Police on a chase that ended in Callaway County.

Ptah Watson, 47, is facing numerous charges including resisting arrest and leaving the scene of two accidents.

It was last night around 5:30 when officers attempted to stop Watson on West Ashley Street but he sped off heading north across the bridge.  Callaway County deputies finally disabled his car just south of Fulton when they deployed spike strips.  Police report Watson caused at least two motor vehicle crashes during the chase.

Watson is currently serving supervised probation out of St. Louis for resisting arrest and unlawful possession of a firearm.
