St. Louis protesters want mayor to resign

Protesters painted the word "resign" outside of Krewson's home.

Protesters demand the mayor of St. Louis resign.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports at least 500 people demonstrated last night outside the home of Mayor Lyda Krewson, criticizing her for releasing the names and addresses of residents who suggested defunding the police department.  The names were released Friday during a press conference on Facebook Live.

Although Krewson can legally release the names, protesters called the move immoral and unethical.

By last night, an online petition to oust Krewson had more than 40,000 signatures.
